“You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. ” – Deuteronomy 8:2
Test comes to both the righteous and the wicked. It purifies the heart to produce a character that is righteous and pure. Tests and challenges that comes our way are to be used as opportunities to grow in character and become more like Christ.
Endurance develops strength of Character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. – Romans 5:4
Building a strong character takes a lifetime of consistent persistence, built one act at a time. Act upon act. Day after day. Each instance may seem small at the time, but they will pile up to create a strong character, a great defense against temptation.
Sharing this as this mirrors my thoughts and adds up to my reasons ♥ – one can never run out of inspiration (and reasons)! 😉
